The Center — Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply Center-wide. By registering myself or a minor participant for youth sports, adult sports or leagues, fitness activities, membership or gym participation, or another program or activity offered by the Cheyenne County Community Center (“The Center”), I acknowledge and agree to the following. Where a provision refers to a parent or legal guardian, it applies when the participant is a minor.
Registration & eligibility
Registration or enrollment is not complete until all required information, agreements and applicable fees have been submitted. Participants must meet the age, grade, membership or other eligibility requirements established for the program, activity or membership category. Adults register on their own behalf; a parent or legal guardian must register a minor participant. The Center may verify eligibility and correct registrations made for an incorrect division, program or membership type.
Fees & refunds
Registration, program and membership fees must be paid according to The Center’s published requirements. Refunds, credits or transfers are subject to The Center’s current refund policy, and membership dues are additionally subject to the terms of the membership agreement selected at signup. Processing fees, uniforms, equipment or other expenses already incurred by The Center may be nonrefundable. The Center may establish deadlines and late fees when applicable.
Teams, divisions & scheduling
For sports and league programs, The Center determines team placement, divisions, schedules, practice arrangements and competition formats based on participation, available facilities, volunteers and other program needs. For classes, training sessions and other activities, The Center sets class sizes, instructors, locations and times. Special requests may be considered but are not guaranteed.
Schedule changes & cancellations
Games, practices, classes, fitness sessions and other activities may be changed, postponed or canceled because of weather, facility availability, participation levels, staffing, safety concerns or circumstances outside The Center’s control. The Center will make reasonable efforts to communicate changes but cannot guarantee that every program will proceed exactly as originally scheduled.
Participant & spectator conduct
Participants, members, guests, parents, guardians and spectators are expected to demonstrate appropriate sportsmanship, courtesy and facility etiquette and treat players, coaches, officials, volunteers, staff and other spectators with respect. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unsafe or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. The Center may remove individuals from an activity or facility and may suspend or terminate participation for serious or repeated violations.
Coaches, officials & volunteers
Many Center programs depend on volunteer coaches, officials and other community members. Participants and families agree to follow reasonable instructions from authorized coaches, officials, volunteers and Center staff.
Health & safety
Each participant — or the parent or legal guardian of a minor participant — is responsible for providing accurate information necessary for safe participation and for communicating relevant restrictions or accommodations to The Center. Participants are encouraged to consult a physician before beginning a fitness program or increasing activity levels, and should not participate when illness, injury or another condition makes participation unsafe. The Center may remove a participant from an activity when reasonably necessary for health or safety.
Concussions & injuries
For sports and other athletic activities, participants and, for minors, parents/guardians agree to comply with The Center’s concussion, injury and return-to-play requirements and applicable Nebraska law. A participant suspected of sustaining a concussion or other significant injury may be removed from participation and may be required to obtain appropriate clearance before returning.
Facilities & equipment
Participants, members and families agree to respect Center property, school facilities, parks, fields, gyms, fitness equipment and other locations or equipment used for programs and membership access, and to follow posted rules, hours and access requirements. Participants are responsible for equipment issued to them and may be responsible for the replacement of equipment that is lost, intentionally damaged or not returned.
Communication
The Center may use the contact information provided during registration to communicate information related to the participant, program, schedules, cancellations, emergencies, membership matters and other Center activities. Participants and, for minors, parents/guardians are responsible for keeping their contact information current and reviewing program communications.
Photography & media
Participants may be photographed or recorded during games, practices, tournaments, programs and other activities. The Center cannot control photography or recording by spectators, news media, participating organizations, independent photographers or other third parties at public events.
The Center may photograph or record its programs and activities for informational, promotional and community storytelling purposes, including use on its website, social media, printed materials and other Center communications.
Parents or legal guardians who do not want The Center to intentionally feature their child in promotional photography or video should notify The Center. The Center will make reasonable efforts to honor those requests; however, it cannot guarantee that a participant will never appear incidentally in group, crowd, background or event photography.
Participation agreement & release
Participation is also subject to The Center’s current Participation Agreement & Release, which applies to adults and, when the participant is a minor, is accepted by a parent or legal guardian. By completing a registration or joining as a member, the registrant acknowledges that any required participation agreement, release, concussion information or other program-specific acknowledgment must be completed before participation.
Center authority
The Center reserves the right to establish and reasonably enforce program rules; make decisions necessary for participant safety and program operation; adjust teams, schedules, locations or formats; and suspend or remove participants or spectators when necessary to protect participants, staff, volunteers, facilities or the integrity of the program.
Accuracy of information
I certify that the information provided during registration or enrollment is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that knowingly providing false information regarding a participant’s age, grade, eligibility or other material registration information may result in removal from the program or membership.
