SIDNEY, Neb. — Time is running out for third- through sixth-grade boys and girls to sign up for the Cheyenne County Community Center’s youth basketball program.
Registration closes Friday, Oct. 9, for The Center’s basketball camp and league. Families may register for both for $50 or choose either the camp or league for $30.
The Center’s camp will run Oct. 19-23, followed by league games Nov. 7, 14 and 21 and Dec. 5, 12 and 19.
Youth basketball has become one of The Center’s largest programs. Participation grew from 151 to 213 players last season, a 41% increase.
The league will again include opportunities to play teams from outside Sidney. Last season, The Center hosted 70 games over four days with 13 out-of-town teams participating.
Basketball for younger children will return after the new year. The Center’s Little Swishers program for second grade and younger will be held in January and February, with registration opening Nov. 1.
GymRat Basketball will host a separate Sidney Camp on Oct. 25 at The Center. The camp is a separate program and is not included with Center basketball registration. If intersted, please sign-up at grbball1.com.
Families can register for The Center’s third- through sixth-grade program through ccccsidney.com, email kendyl@ccccsidney.com or call (308) 254-7000 for more information.
